Rig Specs:
MSI 970 gaming motherboard
corsair CS750M PSU
AMD FX 8350 @ 4.00 GHz with corsair H80i cooling kit
8gb ddr3 1600 MHz Corsair Vengeance
MSI Geforce GTX 960 OC 4GB
1 TB + 2 TB HHD 7200 rpm

Not satisfied with the performance. I think CPU and Graphics card are not performing efficiently. Gaming and rendering, not up to the mark. Need Suggestions.
Thank you

Solution
IIRC the MSI Gaming 970 has 8+2 phase power, good chipset and VRM cooling, but no LLC. With an H80i, you could OC the CPU a little on that board. Try to stay close to stock voltage. 4.4-4.6GHz is usually the sweet spot and should be possible on stock or near-stock voltage for the 8350. Just be sure to keep everything at a good temperature and don't go crazy with the OC settings. Don't ever use Auto OC either BTW. Tune it manually. Here's a good guide:

Yes it says 'Bulldozer' but it still applies for Piledriver.

If your H80i is mounted at the rear of your case, take the top fan near the CRM/CPU and have it...

Are you saying this because you expected to run everything on "exterme" and you can't?
Or did you compare your hardware with another PC or something like that, and your PC is supposed to run faster?

For example, Earlier I was using GTX 750 TI OC. The performance of battlefield 4 was average. The rendering in 3DS Max was average too. But now I have gtx 960 OC 4GB which is way better then gtx 750 ti oc. I do not see much difference. I think I'm missing something. Any reason?

Yes, I want to run everything on extreme.. I expected my PC to perform better.

I understand that kinda feels bad.
The 960 should perform better. Although we are going trough time fast.
Did BF4 had any update's recently that could've changed the fact that its running heavier?

I guess there were no updates recently like a month or 2.
It was performing better earlier but now its laggy. Not only BF4, but witcher 3 as well.

And one more thing, AMD fx 8350 can be overclocked to 5.00 GHz, But I couldn't Overclock it beyond 4.5 GHz. I don't know the stable voltage and other settings. I am using corsair H80i. Will that be enough to overclock my CPU to atleast 4.8GHz?

yes it will work.
But im not sure if you CAN overclock you cpu. not becuz your cpu.
But cuz your mobo. Check it out, most times you need a Z, like the z87/z97
I could also overclock my cpu, but not that much, just cuz my mobo didnt handle it.
Check that out, maybe could that also form a problem

There is NO "Z" motherboards for AMD CPU's
All AMD FX CPU's are unlocked - it depends only on the motherboard , in this case its a good motherboard for overclocking, But dont forget that every chip has its limits, i OC my FX 8350 to 4.6 ghz with no problem but on 5.0 ghz it's overheating an crushing even with an H100i..

I disagree. I have seen many videos on youtube for overclocking with same mobo that I have. Like I mentioned earlier, I do not know stable voltage and HT freq. I can overclock to 4.5 GHz but efficiency is the problem.

There is not much difference between H80i and H100i/H100 GTX. How'd u overclock your CPU to 4.6 Ghz, What's the input voltage?

If your H80i is mounted at the rear of your case, take the top fan near the CRM/CPU and have it blowing IN as cool intake. this will keep the VRMs cool and feed the H80i cool air as well.

The 960 is a Maxwell GPU and these also usually OC quite nicely.

There are total of 6 fans. 2 included in H80i cooling at the rear, 2 at the top for air intake which is very close to CPU and 2 in front for air intake. The chasis I am using is "Circle 830"

For games you are only going to see a performance increase if the game is at least somewhat CPU dependent, if not then you will not see much of an improvement at all. Also, the higher the graphic settings and resolution, the more the game's performance will depend on the GPU. It varies depending on the game. Below are some examples:

Thank you for sharing. But performance is varying with games. In my case, performance has dropped.
