Hi guys, i got two monitors the 60hz one is LG D2342P, the other monitor is a 144hz aoc g2460pqu. I use windows 7 professional 64bit.

My question is, im gaming league of legends at 144hz at max settings and borderless but if i put a 60fps video on the other screen i get a slight lag is that normal ? Should i change to fullscreen instead borderless ?

Other thing about screens and not so much from graphics, is it possible to calibrate this screens to have a similar color ? Is there any software that does that ?

Thanks everyone for reading/helping me.

Solution

Thats odd, it shouldnt make anythign more laggy.

Is your CPU overheating?
I think putting putting the game fullscreen would help (not sure). You can try to calibrate (it would definitely help) the monitors but if they are not the same model you could never get them to look the same (as they have different characteristics, refresh rate etc.). You can also try to calibrate from the Nvidia control panel. Here's a useful video on pro-like calibration (but it would require an extra device):

That could actually the cause but he didn't mentioned his cpu and I thought it was not very right to assume he also has integrated graphics.

@RobCrezz, @Compuser10165, yeah i think i will try to put the game on full screen but im so used to borderless that its kinda meh, i didnt put the other screen on integrated graphics because it actually caused me a real hard lag im using a i7 4790k, but im gonna try again and i will reply later, thanks for the awsners about the calibration.

Ok, hope you solve the issue!

The problem is caused by the difference in refresh rate (when both monitors are on the gtx 970). I don't know why putting the other monitor on the igpu causes lag as it shouldn't.

No its like at 30c.

What display connector (display port, hdmi, DVI, vga?) are you using?
Maybe try another (if your monitor has more than one possible port and also your motherboard you should try a different type of connection ) and see if it helps.

Hi tried DVI(60hz) and DisplayPort(144hz) and with DVI(60hz) and DVI-D(144hz), and both connection lag.

Ok... Test each monitor (one at the same time ) by running them from the gpu and igpu. That should test if there is an issue with one of the monitors. Also, test another screen (on the igpu and gpu) if possible (tv/monitor, preferably monitor) and see if you still get that lag.

omg i still added thermal paste and cleaned the whole pc but the cpu keeps being on a constant 60+ degrees without even gaming. I have a stock cpu fan isen't it enough ?

The stock cpu cooler is quite underperforming... You should get a good aftermarket cooler especially if you have an I7.

Yeah the stock cooler on the 4790k struggles to keep it from throttling. I would suggest a Hyper 212 Evo on a budget, or if you ever plan to overclock, something like the h105/Noctua D15 etc.
