I'm having a problem with windows 7's tanbark. Normally if you have 2 of the same window open they will stack and you hover over to select which one to open.
The poblem is with the latter part of that. I have over and before i can click to activate one of the windows the box closes and i end up clicking what's behind it instead.
I'm running Anti Virus scans as i post this but over 80% complete with no detections so not looking that way at the moment. Ran Advanced Systemcare which found a few problems as always but nothing about spyware (just performance tweaks and hard drive optimizations).
any other suggestions ?

Ok after a LOT of tinkering i found a fix. went into the personalise settings and switched to windows classic view, then went back to my original theme (using Areo) and the problem hasn't happened since. Still testing to make sure its fully gone but it seems to be holding up.

Open command prompt and enter: sfc /scannow

That can fix some simple issues.

Load up your Win7 Install Disc and select repair, this can really save the day if it finds problems.

Check for windows updates, just do not install everything that pops up. If there are only a few I would research them to make sure they are more likely to help. Best to let windows updates sit for a few weeks after release.

sfc /scannow said no problems. av scan fully complete with no viruses (using Avast) Advance system care didnt fix the problem either.

quick not, the problem doesn't happen when the PC starts it happens later after iv opened and closed a few programs. couldn't find the exact program i opened when it stopped working though.

There was a windows update that was sorted by Advanced systemcare but only the 1. dont actually use windows updates unless done by Advanced system care due to problems with windows updates all the time.

Changing to unstacked windows is a work around but not exactly a solution. The problem is with windows Areo.
Even if i use "Combine when taskbar is full" that would quickly return to the original problem (i use 10-20 windows while working)

This Problem also started when i installed Virtualbox for virtual operating systems. not sure if that could be linked in some way.
