ok so i recently had this problem with my computer to where ever time i play a game, it would crash 10 minutes through the game.

I play league of legends, and 10 or 14 minutes into the game it works fine, then it freezes and i hear a buzz sound. then my computer turns off/restarts and beeps 6 times, then i would have to unplug my keyboard and restart it, for it to turn back on.

Please help me. (i havent dusted my computer in like 10 months)

also when i start my computer up, the fans ALLWAYS blow super hard, multiple times.

From the Dell Alienware Support Site:

Beep Code --- Description
1 BIOS ROM checksum failure - Possible MB failure (Contact Alienware)
2 No RAM detected*. (Reseat Memory modules or test individually)
3 Possible motherboard failure - chipset error(Contact Alienware)
4 RAM read/write failure (Reseat Memory modules or test individually)
5 Real Time Clock failure (Reseat or Replace Coin Cell Battery)
6 Video card failure (Reseat Video Card or Contact Alienware)
7 Processor Failure (Contact Alienware)

Looks like you have a video card problem. If you still have service support/ warranty from Dell for your PC I would contact them next. You can void a warranty if you go in and try to fix the internals yourself.

Hey Mike,

My Advice is, get a can of compressed air, clean all of your coolers - most importantly PSU. PSU might be getting hot on load and is getting some kind of power cuts thus not providing to the GPU.

As for GPU, remove it, clean the socket with the compressed air. Get a soft rubber and clean the video card socket/cartridge, just rub it, this helped me :)

Also. after these procedures, try gaming with your side panel off. Also - try turing CPU TURBO off in bios.

Alrighty man, this weekend im gonna buy 2 or 3 dusters and dust it out. But im scared that i wont break my pc? or if i unplug some wires what if i dont know how to place them back? and by coolers you mean fans? right. If so then do i remove them from my pc? or just dust them while they are installed? Sorry im not that familiar with computer components, just the basics mainly

1. if you unplug any wires, connect it back. don't use a knife or scissors to get your way through :D
2. coolers - fans - same purpose :)
3. start from top to bottom, don't let the more dust gather in a hard to reach place
4. remove your GPU when cleaning, make sure you do your best. no dust bunnies clogging the radiator.
5. do not need to remove the fans. just take off everything else that easy to install.
6. no worries - this is how you learn.
