So, roughly 5 months ago I was playing games on my pc via gamestream from the other side off the country, when suddenly I lost connection. I called my roommate and asked her to check if my pc was still powered on, and if so, to reboot it. It was off and unresponsive upon pressing the power button, though she didn't smell any magic smoke

I assumed my power supply had failed, as it was only a bronze certified coolermaster 1000w and there was no sign of power upon my return.

So I replaced it with a corsair ax1200i, no luck.

So I replaced the motherboard with a GA-990FXA-UD5 R5 (rev. 1.0) no luck

So I replaced the phenom II with a fx-8320 which I had, but hadn't gotten around to installing. No luck.

So I moved the whole thing to a full tower server case. Now, when I try to power on the tower, the power supply makes a click and a light on the usb card reader lights up for half a second. Everything but the ram, gpu and ssd is brand new, and I'm pulling my hair out.

Tl;dr - pc died, replaced literally everything but gpu, ssd and ram, nothing happens when you try to power on but a click from power supply and a momentary light.

What's wrong with it, man? I'm inches away from taking it to microcenter and making it their problem.
