What Can I Do To Get A More Reliable Experience With My PC

I recently built a pc to upgrade from my laptop. I wanted to go amd due to the cheap prices for the chips. I spent around $1000 on the entire build. Now my question is, what can I do to enhance the overall performance of my pc? I am running csgo at about 250 fps and skyrim with mods at 60fps without an enb. Mainly I'm worried about new upcoming games coming out this year like Fallout 4 or Battlefront whether I can run them or not. I was suspecting that I would need a psu considering I'm only using a 650wt.
I am quite new to the pc building hobby and I really hope some of these responses can help me get a better understanding of the skill.

What motherboard do you have?

Yes you need a better psu.

Were you looking to upgrade? Are you having any problems?

The largest limiting factor in a demanding game like Fallout 4 will definitely be your GPU. The 270 is at the lower end of graphics cards, so getting a better one will allow you to use higher detail settings in more demanding games (while maintaining your 60+ fps).

Thanks for the quick answer. I have an ASUS SABERTOOTH motherboard, I'll be able to find out the exact model when I'm off mobile. And yes I am going to upgrade to a new psu at around 800-1000 watts, any suggestions? (Not trying to rip my wallet in half). Thanks!

Thanks Geekwad for the response. Really helpful! Any suggestions for a higher end graphics card that's affordable? I'll also have to check out the psu test. Also I would like to add that I tried using Catzilla but ended up crashing my system. Was either using it wrong or?

The Nvidia 970 or AMD 390 are both at the upper end of mid-range, and both will perform roughly the same on 1080p. Depending on what's available to you, those would both be good options. The Nvidia is more power efficient, so would work better with PSU you have.
