ssd lag spikes video recording

hello guys i have a problem with recording my gaming videos! today i bought a new ssd toshiba 840 evo and i bought it because my old hdd was bad at recording videos because of his small speed! but now when i try to record videos to my ssd i have lag spikes to my videos!!!! help please!!!

I disagree. SSD have faster read and write than a mechanical hard drive. They do require a bit more CPU overhead than a mechanical drive though which could be a problem. Is your computer running in High Performance mode in the control panel? Did you disable write caching on the disk?

SSD's are better for reading data such as booting and not so much for writing it like recording. Although your old HDD was slower I would still recommend using an HDD for high quality recording.

Turn Disk Write Caching On or Off. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. Expand Disk Drives. Right-click the drive on which you want to turn disk write caching on or off, and then click Properties.
