I currently have the Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (HX318C10FBK2/16) and I'm wondering if it is compatible with the Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 motherboard.

I ask this because when I try and test to see if the computer works, it indicates that the memory has an error of some kind.

Solution
First make sure you have the latest BIOS, the Fury are relatively new and unlike most DRAM they operate off PnP, with an older BIOS may have problems. Next start with a single stick , if it boots OK may want to raise the DRAM voltage to 1.55, save, exit, shutdown, then add the second stick
M5A99X EVO R2.0 Specifications
Memory
4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 2133(O.C.)/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz ECC, Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel Memory Architecture

The CPU contains the memory controller. AMD FX CPUs support 1866MHz with one DIMM per channel.

Yes but when I try and boot up the computer, it says that there is a problem with the RAM, any helpful hints?
