External Hard Drive - Device randomly changed to RAW and several weird events followed

Hi, recently I have bought a new external hard drive with 1TB capacity. It was working well for several weeks when suddenly, the device became inaccessible.

It said "F:// is not accessible. Device is not ready." and I checked Disk Management and it said that the device is now RAW.

I've searched the internet for fixes and I tried some of them. I uninstalled its driver from Device Manager and unplugged-replugged the External HD and still nothing.

Then, I found out that it may have been about the partition so:
I've tried TestDisk to recover a lost partition, it did not find any lost partition.

I've tried Easeus and then it discovered some lost partition and when I scanned the Lost partition and the Ext. HD itself, the program found no files. So I did not have anything to recover with the program.

Then, here comes the weird parts:

Out of nowhere, my Ext. Hard Drive suddenly became accessible again. I tried playing the video files saved and it worked like before. I thought that was the end of the problem but later on, when I was trying to move some video files from my PC to said Ext. HD, I tried to make a new folder inside the Ext. HD. But I can't, the option to create a new folder was gone. Then I tried to move files inside the Ext. HD but I also cannot. Then I realized that the Ext. HD may have become Read-Only. I unchecked the Read-Only property of one folder and when it asked if I want to apply it to all subfolders and files, I clicked Yes and then errors came up saying that each individual files inside the folders were write-protected or something to that effect.

Again, I've searched the internet for fixes for this situation. I've stumbled upon a fix for my current situation in this:
http://www.pcworld.com/article/245174/restore_access_to_a_write_protected_hard_drive.html

I've followed every step and when I was done, lo and behold.. My External HD is now RAW again and I'm back on my initial problem. Now, I can't get it to miraculously change its self to NTFS again like it did before.

Please help.

Thanks for the reply! I'll post again after I try your suggestion.

Btw I haven't backed up the files :( So I really have to make the Ext. HD work again, even just one more time so that I can copy the files to my other Ext. HD.
