PC SPECS: MOBO: Gigabyte Gaming 5 z97x Graphics Card: GTX 660 SSD: Samsung 250GG HDD: 1tb wd PSU: evga 850w +80 gold certified RAM: 16gb mhz2400 G SKILL
Hello.
This has been an ongoing problem for about a year as I haven't found a solution out. Basically, I built a new computer and it was fine for a couple weeks of gaming using my old GTX 660. I then one day experienced my computer freezing and constant error messages of "nvdlmm error"(In Event Viewer). I then acted upon this by googling "nvidia ndvlmm errors" and applying numerous fixes such as the "tdr delay" fix, changing nvidia settings, etc! All of them I have tried! Even completely wipping my computer TWICE and using Display Driver Uninstaller. When I play a game for about a couple minutes, my game would make a weird buzzing sound, freeze and bsod. However, the fixes I found on the web did not work so I RMA'd my graphics card (oh and i also used memtest to check RAM and scanned hard drives). EVGA sent me a replacement card and it worked fine on games for about a week or two! and then the same thing happened again!. I then tried underclocking my core clock and memory clock speed to "-400" and the issue was resolved, but only temporarily. I then got told to try a range of older drivers and it worked! I found a working driver which was "344.60" and it stopped the crashing. Thought I thought to myself, may its my SSD even though it appeared to be okay as I have my games installed on my SSD... maybe I should install it on my HDD? I don't know, what do you guys think.. I do not know what to do or try next. I don't see how it can be my power supply as I have 850W, my case doesn't get hot as i have a good fan..etc.
It would be appreciated if someone can help me because I have tried many other forums and no one has helped me solve this issue yet. I hope I have included all the information that you may need in order to help! if not i'm sorry but just let me know if you need more information!.
I look forward to your responses!

I just uninstalled my games and moved over to my HDD so just bare with me while i get a game.
Also, other said it could be my motherboard or maybe it needs updating, or something.. do you think it is?

Well let me see.. okay here:

It says BIOS MODe: Legacy
BIOS VERSIOn\DATE: American Megatrends Inc F3, 25/04/2015 and the latest is F7 released 2015/09/18

but i was afraid to attempt updating it because I was told it can seriously mess up your entire computer if done wrong?

you can do it from usb or in windows with the @bios program

gigabyte mobos have the advantage of multiple bios, if anything goes wrong you just flip a switch on the mobo itself and load optimized defaults
