Hi guys,
I have following components:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 (not K)
MB: ASUS H97M-PLUS
RAM: Kingston HX318C9SRK2/16
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 500GB
PSU: Cooler Master V550 Gold 550W (manufactured by Seasonic)
I got new video card, Gigabyte GV-N960G1 GAMING-2GD
Here is my problem:
I installed new video card, after I turned PC I get short beep (just the same beep that indicates that everything is alright), fans are sniping, leds are on, and I get black screen only.
I of course checked if the card is put correctly in the PCI-E slot, if the 6-pin power pins are put in card power slots and if monitor is connected correctly.
I also did:
1. Clean up the slot and gold pins,
2. Updated the motherboard BIOS to latest version,
3. Cleared CMOS using jumper,
4. Removed all of the things from my motherboard, left only CPU fan and power, reset and control LEDs,
5. Removed and reinserted RAM memory,
6. Disabled secure BIOS,
7. Enabled CSM and legacy mode.
I also tried the card on my friend's PC. I get the post and PC boots up successfully. The motherboard is ASUS M4N68T-M LE V2, it's like 4 or 5 years old.
I also tried my friend's video card on my motherboard, the Sapphire Radeon 6770, and it also works.
In all of three cases (my MB my GPU, my MB fr's GPU and fr's MB my GPU) I used same the same PSU from the list above.
Is it that the card and my motherboard simply doesn't like each other and there is no way to get them work together or there is a way to resolve this problem?
Thank you in advance for your answer.
