Lacie 4TB Raid 1 Raid slice missing, won't mount on macbook pro 10.7.5 tried loading it with 1 of the 2 disks removed then the other disk removed and still won't mount. Making dull clicking noise when one drive is in there but not when the other drive is in the Lacie?

Welcome to the community, Kerrie60!

I'd recommend you to try repairing the disks using the Disk Utility on your MacBook. ( http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=73Wgpx )The clicking sounds might be indicating physical damage on one of your external RAID 1 HDDs. I'd also suggest you to check your external RAID device manufacturer for any software tools you could use to test the storage device with (more specifically the HDDs' health and SMART status). Have you used the external on a Windows computer? How is it formatted?

Keep me posted. Hope this helps you.
