I need help. Should I get a Intel i7 4790K, a z79 motherboard and 16 gigs of ddr3 ram or should i get a Intel Core i7 5820K with a x99 motherboard and 16 gigs of ddr4 ram for futureproofong since the Intel 5820K is newer and so is ddr4 and the x99 motherboards?
Should I do this?

if you want future proof, you should go with the new skylake series, either i5 6600k or the i7 6700k.
they both use ddr4 and have the latest features, and have pretty much the same features as the 5820k, if not they have more features.
the 6600k and the 6700k are also cheaper that the 5820k, but saying that the 5820k has 6 cores and the 6600k and the 6700k only have 4 cores,
if you play games i suggets you get the i5 6600k, since you only really need 4 cores.
