GTX 970 SLI low FPS

i just put a new msi gtx 970 gaming 4g, but battlefield 4 gave me no improvement with the sli. is there anything i need to do?(i already went into nvidia control panel and enabled sli) my specs are
gigabyte z97x-sli
i5 4690k
8gb or ram

SLI improves fps on some games better than others, also depending on how many monitor's and how many Hz those monitor's run at will determine the fps outcome. Make sure all drivers and BIOS are up to date.

my fps in battlefield is the same as it would be with jsut one 970, same thing on witcher 3, but on another game my fps went up and as far as im concerned sli does improve fps.
tomb raider used to give me 50-60fps with just one, now i get 150-170fps with 2

i restarted my pc and that seem to do the trick, my fps went up to the 100s
