I have an old dell monitor lying around and i am getting a new computer i am wondering if i can have a very low spec graphics card for google, youtube and that sort of thing on a old monitor and a high spec graphics card with a new bigger monitor for gaming on the same motherboard being this: ASRock 970-PRO3 AMD Skt AM3+ ATX 7.1 HD Audio Motherboard.

can i use amd for one monitor and nvidia for the other?

AMD and NVidia don't play well together. Sometimes it works, then a driver update and it won't, then one of them fixes it, then another breaks it. lol.

If you get a high end card, it can easily handle google and youtube through another output and not effect your gaming in any real way. You can usually use 2 AMD or NVidia cards though if you really wanted, just they won't be crossfired/sli'd of course, being different models, but really it's just adding extra heat/power to your system for no need.
