Windows 8 black screen with cursor after automatic repair

my windows 8 is not booting,it always stuck at blue logo of windows with rotating dots and after that blue screen comes and my computer restarts and then again blue logo of windows appears with preparing automatic repair written below and then black screen comes with moving cursor.

Have you got your Windows disk? It might do to put that in and load the repair option from there.
I also have to ask, is this a machine you've installed Windows on yourself, or did you buy it from a company e.g. Acer, Dell etc - because often they have a hidden partition where you can restore Windows from there.
BE WARNED - these will often format your hard drive so will wipe your files on there. Let us know if any of these suggestions are true and hopefully we can go from there.
