I am looking for a PC that can handle the workloads of 3D software packages, and Gaming, all in the 700-800 dollar range. The options at this price point are varied, as an inexperienced builder I am truly lost, and your help is greatly appreciated!

Approximate Purchase Date: Asking for parts for Christmas

Budget Range: 700-800, Before Rebates or Shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: 3D Rendering, Multi-Taking(Business), Gaming

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Whatever you feel is the best

Location: Reno, NV

Parts Preferences: I am stuck between AMD and Intel due to budget, any help here is great.

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080, 1080i

Additional Comments: Here is a list of parts I threw together that is close to what I want, but I would love any tips on what to choose for a build that will handle lots of multi-tasking, and CPU intensive software suites.
The case in this list is my preferred case, along with the fans as well. I like the Black and White colors, but if there is better performance options then I would rather have those over good aesthetics.

Thanks for the help, I hadn't even considered going with a xeon platform!

its a 4 core 8 thread i7 without the igpu. that msi 380 is a great bang for buck with 4gb of vram.

i cant help but want to change a few things around though and go with a all red/black theme. the s340 is a pretty case and they offer it in red/black though it costs a bit more. you could go with a black version of the case for $69 over the $85 red/black if you choose. just want you to see your options.... unless you change to something like the fractal define s without a side window so you cannot see inside. otherwise a white case with a black/blue motherboard and a red/black gpu is going to look a little funky.
