what is the most powerful socket 754 CPU

ok, before you read, do not tell me to buy a newer computer, i already have a newer one.

im currently looking to max out my very old 2005 emachines PC, people say that emachines' suck, but i want to prove them wrong, ive already managed to get really good sound quality on this old beast, it can also run GTA 4 at low settings.

the CPU it currently has is an AMD athlon 3200+ 2.19 GHZ, here are the full list of specs

model: emachines c6207
CPU: AMD athlon 64 3200+
GPU: GIGABYTE geforce 210 (originally an ati radeon xpress 200)
RAM: 2 GB (originally 512 MB)
PSU: bestec 300 watt
OS: windows 7 (originally windows XP)

The Athlon 64 3800+ is fastest I believe. The old naming scheme was kind of confusing for me. I had a 3200+ but it was only 2,6ghz or something close.

yes, IVE HEARD OF GOOGLE. but people everywhere keep saying that a mobile athlon CPU or an athlon 64 clawhammer is more powerful and i need an actual answer instead of all these stupid suggestions.

The + is there to indicate somewhat optimistic comparison with Intel CPU in the same bracket. For instance, in the case of that Athlon 64 3200+ it means that when it's running at it's standard 2.6 HGz it would (by AMD'S account) have same performance as Intel P4 running at 3.2KHz.
