Nvidia Control Panel settings

Solution

Short answer, no need to fiddle with nVidia Control Panel settings unless youre:

1. Setting custom profiles for select titles (i.e, id5 titles dont support SLI, so running a single GPU mode makes sense)
2. Enabling/Disabling SLI
3. Setting PhysX preferences (only if you have a dedicated card for it...otherwise it will default to "auto")
4. Setting Power Consumption preferences...negligible IMO
5. Setting custom AA/FXAA or resolution downsampling.

To address an implied question, you're not going to "unlock" any special performance from your card through tweaking the settings (except for SLI which needs to be enabled).

I'd leave it alone personally, though...

There are no "best" settings, its all personal preference.

I personally like sharp coloring so i turn the Digital Vibrance to 100% under the "Adjust desktop color settings" tab.

I'd leave it alone personally, though it never hurts to go into it and check things out for fun. Congrats on the card dude, take care!
