SPECS
Processor:Intel 4790k
MB: Asus Z87 Sabertooth LGA1150
RAM: 2 - 8Gb 1866Mhz HyperX Fury (16GB total)
Video Card: GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7950 3GB
SSD : Crucial M550 520 GB
OS: Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
Want to Install : 2 - 8Gb 1866Mhz HyperX Fury (to have a total of 32GB)
I wanted to install 2 more sticks of RAM, same brand and model, but when I did, the cpu would turn on but wouldn't display anything. No beeps or anything. Just stayed on. I removed the battery from the motherboard to reset it, before I installed them. I removed the 2 new sticks I tried to install and the CPU returned to normal and booted just fine.
I even tried installing one at a time and it would still not boot.
Any solutions?

It's ok to mix RAM... most people don't have problems. Did you verify that the new set had the same timings? Also, which slots did you install the new RAM into. For example... the old set should be in Slot 0 and Slot 2 and the new set should be installed into Slot 1 and Slot 3.

See the photo... The Red is for one set... and the Black is for the second set (pair)

I'm not super knowledgeable on computers, so what do you mean by timings?
I changed the voltage, and nothing.
My current RAM are in slot B.
I thought maybe they the new sticks were faulty so I removed my old ones and put the new ones in and it booted just fine.
The problem seems to be my Slot A's.
Whenever any RAM in in the slots, it won't boot.
Could it be a faulty Motherboard?
Any solutions?
