I was trying to put the recovery system for my laptop on the hard drive. After it was done its capacity changed from 1TB to 33GB. I even tried storing some data with a bigger capacity than 33GB but it now tells me that insufficient space. What can I do.

Solution
If you sill have the laptop recovery data on it that can explain the space loss (still quite large). I recommend to reformat the hdd if you don't need the backup anymore. Here's some links to help with that:

http://www.seagate.com/gb/en/support/downloads/item/samsung-format-utility-master-dl/
(since you have a samsung (seagate) drive )
P.S. If you need to recover some date before the drive was used as a backup you can try a recovery software such as Active Partition Recovery etc.

Hi there mulekuks,

I would agree with Compuser10165. You can just go to Disk Management, delete the recovery partition and partition and format the drive.
In case you need the data stored on the drive though(the one before the conversion into a recovery disk), you can try using some data/partition recovery software. I guess you should be able to recover at least some of it.

Run Samsung Drive Manager
Select "Disk Management" from the Drive Manager Application Screen
Then Select the drive in the window
A new popup appears that allows you to reformat the drive
You will be able to REFORMAT the drive, and it also puts the original files on the drive.
