Hey all,

My current pc is nearing 10 years old, and isn't running games like rust/ark etc.
Now i want get a new one, and need some help, i'd prefer if the price doesn't go up, this pc will most likely be used for the next 10 years..

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Wc7QJx

build still needs:
2x monitors
1x case

I want a dual monitor setup, as i also work on this pc (programming etc) resolution of 1920x1080 is fine

I don't know what case will fit this stuff i'd like something like the antec three hundred )

I also picked these parts with SLI in mind, i was thinking of added another 980ti at some point, so i'm wondering if i picked the correct parts. (Seeing i don't neccesarily want 4k resolution, do i even need to pick parts ready for sli?)

If you guys have any recommendations, let me know, i'm planning on buying the parts within the next month.

*I'm wondering about the motherboard and SLI as it doesn't show on official nvidia website

Thanks to InfurnoHD for helping me update the parts, does anyone else have any recommendations and/or criticisms, before i order the parts??

Things to keep in mind: I will likely buy another 980 TI so to run them in SLI

Any last words would be appreciated!

Ah, yes i forgot the link. Well here it is: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9xQmsY

And yes you can use Displayport for your main screen, use this one: http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters%C2%AE-Gold-Plated-DisplayPort/dp/B005H3Q59U/ref=pd_bxgy_147_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=178S1TEYCNYBKWSXCXBP
Then for the second screen use this HDMI...

Are you saying you wan to throw in 2 monitors and a case without the price going up?

Well that means cutting down on other things like the power supply etc.

And the motherboard and GPU both support corssfire/SLI.

Ok so i cut out the SSD, turned down the ram and got the home premium version of the OS and cut down the power supply to lower costs.

Here it is: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/drr4bv
Basically you can still upgrade to SLI in the future and you now have 2 monitors. And a case.

Hope this helps, it came in around $1686.75. If you want to push the price even lower you can replace the CPU with the non-unlocked version and remove the fan.

Ah, i think that was my bad english. I just need some advice on good monitors (the case looks good! ), their price does not have to be calculated in the price.

I would still like to use an SSD, i've switched over my old pc to one and it really improved boot time and loading time.

The memory and psu change seem fine, i guess there isn't a lot of difference between them?

CPU-wise, you say i could get the non-unlocked version.. Is there anything i will notice about this? (I wasn't planning on overclocking or anything) Will i still be able to run SLI with the non-unlocked version?

Ok so you only need advice? Well let me find 2 good monitors for you. The main monitor should be the best one (the one you game on) http://www.amazon.com/VG248QE-1920x1080-DisplayPort-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00B2HH7G0/ref=lp_8588814011_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1445192681&sr=1-1

Then the second can be a cheaper one if you want to use it for facebook, skype etc: http://www.amazon.com/VS248H-P-1920x1080-DVI-D-Back-lit-Monitor/dp/B0058UUR6E/ref=zg_bs_1292115011_5

The SSD is highly recommended yes, i just removed it to lower the price but go ahead, buy an SSD. Its very good.

The memory is a little slower than the memory you had in the beginning so if you want just use the memory you had in the start.

The PSU gives the same amount of power but has a lower quality, therefore cheaper. But it is still able to power your computer even with SLI GTX 980Ti.

The case isn't as good as more expensive cases, i just took it to lower the cost.

If you are not going to overclock the CPU there is no need to go for the unlocked version. It only costs more. The you dont need a fan either.

Here is the same build but with better RAM, better Case, locked CPU, no CPU fan, bigger Harddrive and an SSD.

Without the monitors this comes in at about 1570$.

Hope this helps! :D

Those monitors look pretty sweet indeed!

Another question, i can just get a couple displayport cables and use those i suppose? (currently have vga monitors with a dvi converter on it)

Did you by chance forget to add the link to the full build? =D
If everything all checks out then i'll be making some arrangements to start ordering !
