Hello,
I recently purchased the GeForce GTX 970 4G graphics card, ever since my games have begin stuttering in more "crowded" situations. Mass Effect 3, Call Of Duty: Ghosts and Assassin's Creed: Black Flag are some of the games I have issues with. These used to run fine on my old card. I upgraded from a Radeon 7850HD.
I already read several other posts about this issue, here's what I already tried:
1. Wiping old drivers.
- Initially I forgot to delete my old driver, so I had to do so after installing the new card. This still didn't help. I also deleted the Nvidia driver and reinstalled it, no effect. I used driver cleaner for this.
2. Changing settings in GeForce configuration.
- I changed several settings in the configuration panel under 3D settings (anti-aliasing, triple buffering)
My setup is:
Intel core i7-4470k(no overclock!)
16GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 970
850Watt PSU(Antec, I know it's overkill and i'm getting a new one, my old one burned out and i borrowed this one from a friend)
Windows 7-64 bit
ASUS H81M-Plus motherboard.
I'd really appreciate some help, as I don't know that much about this stuff.
Edit:
Recently discovered my CPU is somehow overheating(up to 100 degrees celsius!), ran 3Dmark and graphics test has no problems running (solid 60-59 FPS). At physics test FPS drops as low to 15. Might this be the source of the problem?
