Win 7 drivers on win 8

My friend want me to instal win 8.1 on his comp but his asus am3 board does not have drivers after win7.
Will win7 drivers work on win8?
Board is asus m4n68t (i might be wrong about mobo model).

It's a 50/50 toss, but don't be suprised if some features stop performing properly.

I would highly suggest making a system image of the Windows 7 installation before trying out Windows 8. Worse case scenario would be you could re-install 7 and restore the system image.
