Skylake motherboard USB 3.0 flash drive very slow

My Verbatim v3 Max is running very slow on my new mobo http://usbflashspeed.com/127946 47MB/s Read & 35 MB/s write.

It is advertised on http://www.verbatim-europe.co.uk/en/prod/v3-max-usb-drive-32gb-49806/ to be 175MB/s Read and 80 MB/s write.

I don;t have any other USB 3.0 devices to test so can I assume it's the drive or is it likely to be something else?

Hi there the_saucerer,

You shouldn't expect to get the advertised speed as it is measured in sort of perfect conditions.
Have you tried transferring many small files or a big one? You need to transfer a big one and see whether there will be any difference.

Apart from that, I guess you can go to your MOBO's website and update your USB 3.0 drivers. Also, you can try the flash drive on another system and see whether you will get different values.
