Which is better? I've asked several people and have received conflicting statements. I will be gaming at high or better settings while recording and streaming, as well as video editing and doing Photoshop work. Mainly gaming/recording/streaming. Thanks.

I'm surprised that there is any real debate about 'better'

The two chips are generally similar, with the same number of cores, Hyperthreads, core frequency, and Turbo Boost. The Skylake has an iGPU, the Xeon does not.

The Skylake is a newer architecture and is 5 - 10% more efficient, which will translate into observable differences in editing and rendering times, if not observable in Gaming.

If you look at my signature, you will see that this system uses a Xeon 1231v3 :)

The lower power use of the Xeon, is a very thin 'better'

What have others claimed?
