Wanting to upgrade graphics card

Hi i was wanting to uprgrade my graphics card but dont know whats good for my price range(230$) and one tht will also work with my current build:
Intel core i5-4590 haswell Processor 3.3GHz 5.0Gt/s 6mb lga 1150 Cpu

PowerColor TurboDuo AMD Radeon R9 285 2gb GDDR5 OC

Asrock H97M Anniversary LGA 1150 Intel H97 HDMI 6

crucial ballstix sport 8gb

The 280X is the only upgrade out there for that price. But it's literally one card up from the 285 (AKA the 380 btw.), so I'm not sure it's worth it. When you spend hundreds of dollars I feel you should be able to really notice the upgrade. I agree with Martell. You should wait until you have the funds for a 970. I don't think your PSU has the power to run the 290/390.
For your price, you are looking at the R9 280X, which is an upgrade, but I'd suggest waiting until you have a bigger budget and can afford a R9 290 or GTX 970 at about $300. Even the "Best GPU for the Money" article has a gap from $200 to $300:

I recommend Sapphire, ASUS or XFX as in my experiences they have had the best quality.

There is a Sapphire R9 290 at about $240, but I can't in good conscience recommend that card with the reference cooler.
