Hello everyone. I had a question. I recently purchased two LG 25" Ultrawide monitors. They only had HDMI inputs on them. The following link is the monitors.

My video card is an MSI R9 270x 2 GB. Linked below.

The first monitor I have hooked up via an HDMI cable from the monitor to the HDMI port on my video card. I am able to set my resolution to 2560x1080 and it looks great!
However, because my video card only has one HDMI slot, I bought a Dual Link Monster DVI Female to HDMI Male adapter. Linked below.

I plug that into the back of my second monitor and then connect my DVI cable linked below, between my video card and the adapter.

Unfortunately I cannot set my resolution to 2560x1080 on my second monitor. I have tried both DVI ports on my video card (the DVI-I and DVI-D) and it's the same thing, I go change the resolution in Windows and it doesn't let me take it higher than 1920x1080. I have rebooted the computer a couple times, I have installed the monitor driver and updated my video card drivers. (all with restarts).
I have also tried each HDMI port on the back of the second monitor. Nothing just really seems to take. I am not sure what to check out next to try and get my resolution where I want it to be? When I was shopping for parts early today I noticed some display port to HDMI adapters, but the packaging said they only supported resolutions up to 1920.
Anyone have any thoughts on what I need to address to get this resolutions where I want it to be on my second monitor? THANKS SO MUCH!!!

I am just sort of bummed because from my initial googling it seems that with DVI Dual Link you would be good to go, and I made sure the adapter was dual link and all that too. Sucky. I am going to see what else some folks have to say as well before I buy more stuff. My wallet is going to learn to hate me before this is over. I am hoping to get it done with DVI somehow, and hoping that it's just a software issue
