My CPU fan is making a buzzing sound.

Yesterday, I heard a buzzing sound coming from my Alienware X51 right after turning it on. Windows didn't even have the time to boot up.

This isn't the first time I have heard this sound however I can usually fix it by spinning the CPU fan manually. However this time the issue hasn't disappeared.

I know my temps aren't high (the computer just turned on)

Nothing is in the way (I ran the PC with the cover off to watch)

I have ran the PC a few times but the issue is still present.

I don't know what to do next.

Solution
Propably the bearing on the fan is the cause. How long have you been using this cpu cooler? If it's brand new, you could RMA it imho, if its old, the easiest thing to do is to replace the fan yourself.

It's definitely the bearing. Thank you very much.

I am now wondering if it would be easier to buy a new fan or fix my current one as unfortunately the fan isn't new.

Well if you know how to fix it, it will be definitely cheaper to fix it then to buy a new one :)
