Hey there,

I finally upgraded to 970 and facing some issue.

When I start playing FIFA , the speakers start playing this buzzing sound at one volume and when I stop it, the sound goes away.
So the noise only appears when I start playing the game.

Here's the video showing how its going with me:

buzzing sound from :02 - :04

I recently installed this:

and

ANd do you think the PSU is making more noise than it should?
My old Dell PSU was dead silent all the time even when gaming.

GPU temps:

More power equals more electrical noise. In this case most likley from your GPU

All the laws in effect are there to keep RF interference inside the electrical appliance.

Unfortunatley, inside the box you have very little shielding between your soundcard and your coils.

Unless you want to change your graphics card for one with better noise supression, all you can do is get a dedicated sound card, USB or a shielded Creative card.

Only other thing you can try is crank up the software volume controls and turn down the speakers. This way the volume of the Buzz gets turned down relative to the other sounds.

But I had gt640 and dell 460W PSU and this was never an issue with that. and the noise only comes from speakers at one consistent volume no matter what volume

I cant change the graphics for another as I got his one for $250 and rest of the 970's are $300 on newegg.

And are you sure that changing sound card will fix this cz I was reading somehwere and the guy did the same step to same results of buzzing. Also, Hvae you heard about ground loop cz it pops up often when I start reading about this issue online?

If you get a USB one It's outside the box running on the 5V line so it would be safely isolated from the box and the ground affected by the graphics card.

One thing you can try is putting your old PSU in. I'm running a 970 and an i7 on a 430W PSU.

It would tell you if it's the PSU or GPU leaking.

I disabled the GTX 970 and ran VGA from MOBO to monitor and I still have the buzzing sound from speakers. Does disabling from device manager works as good as manually plugging it out?
