Hi everybody, i am making a pc for the first time and i wanted to know what i should do to better it, and i would also like to know if the fan i have chosen for my pc will fit in it due to the heatsink. Additionally, i would like to know weather or not you need to have an intel 5930k be watercooled or not. Thanks! Oh and also, if you modify my build, keep in mind that my budget is 2300 TOPS. I would much rather keep it under 2k, but dont let that limit you in making the build. Thanks! https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Ethanfallis/saved/3Gktt6

what do you want to be doing on your pc because if you want to game you are wasting a shit load of money on a cpu that you don't need.

Jesus have you won the lottery or something? That build is incredibly "I don't care how much I spend". You're planning on buying a $70 fan for your heatsink? $200 on RAM? $230 on your Mobo?? If you want to improve the performance of that PC, staying under your budget, I would recommend shaving off some of the cost from over-expensive things, and then get a second GPU (assuming it's a gaming rig) and get an SSD. Also, if it IS a gaming rig, you don't need an i7. Get an i5 and you will save loads of money for the second GPU and SSD. 16gb is the MAX amount of RAM that you could possibly need, and even that is almost too much. 8gb would be more than fine.

AMD FX-6350
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 R5
Sapphire Radeon R9 390X 8GB
Cooler Master Hyper T4
8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600
Samsung 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB SSD
Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-03
Your PSU & HDD
That's roughly $1,160 before $80 in rebates

Buy $900 worth of fancy display(s) = $2,000

He has a 2k budget now and you can always sell your existing video card for 70% of its value by then. Get a 6600k and 390x, would be the most sensible option IMO

You can build a kickass skylake build and still have money to spare

I know people love defending a corner but recommending fx now to someone with this money isn't good advice

OP: its up to you but don't drop money on FX now unless your on the breadline, they are great value but if you got the money.....
