For the past 2 weeks I have been getting horrible FPS on all games. I play CSGO on the highest settings and usually get around 200-300 fps. I also play final fantasy 14 on high and get around 100 fps. Lately i've been getting below 20 for each out of nowhere. I tried updating my video card driver but that didn't help any. I'm not a heavy gamer or anything. I only have time to sit down a couple days throughout the week and play for a couple of hours, other than that it's just casual use. The only thing I can think of that has happened is when I put my computer on sleep mode, my PC lights and fans will periodically turn on, as if its booting up but it never displays anything and will power back down after a few minutes. One night i was sleeping and it was on sleep mode, and it kept powering on the system without displaying anything on the monitor and it would keep waking me up. So out of frustration I got up and tried to turn on the monitor but it wouldnt display anything for me to be able to shut it down, so i just flipped the switch on the power supply. I'm not sure if that harmed a part in my PC or not. My friend told me i should reformat my GPU but im not sure if thats necessary or not. Aside from gaming, everything seems to be working fine. Maybe a tad slower while browsing the web. Video and music streaming is fine. What has happened to my PC?

Specs:

GPU temperature: 52 C
Memory usage: 621 MB

First off: "Reformat the GPU" doesn't mean anything constructive, so steer clear of that friend in the future with computer problems!!!

I'm not sure that the sleep and graphics problems are related.

Honestly, the graphics issue sounds like a heat problem. Are the fans still spinning well? How does the noise compare to previously? How does it smell? If you smell burned PCB, you should really see if you can RMA the graphics card.

On the sleep side, you can also try disabling hybrid sleep and see if that will help after a full power cycle.

If that doesn't work, maybe something on microsoft's site will help?

Whenever i boot my pc the graphics card fans are spinning, but when i launched csgo they werent spinning. I dont recall them constantly spinning though. maybe they did. is 52C too hot for my gpu? I dont smell anything burning, and i dont hear any unfamiliar sounds. All other fans are spnning. A different friend suggested changing PCI slots. Any other suggestions to fix this?

52C isn't all that bad. Some cards get up near (or past 70C) when operating at capacity. Where are you seeing the 52C temperature? If you can, download GPU-Z from TechPowerUp and see if any of the other numbers look weird to you on the sensors tab. There should be 3 or 4 temperature listed, make sure they are all something like 50C-60C.

When you updated the graphics drivers did you fully uninstall the old ones first? Sometimes it's a random setting that destroys performance (tessellation for example). If you can, fully install the old ones (and any profiles or settings), reboot, then install the newest ones.

If none of that helps, it sounds like something went wrong electrically. If you have a warranty, reach out to EVGA. As I remember, they are usually pretty good with warranty stuff.
