Your better off with this,
Although the CPU is a bit worse, but you won't notice ANY difference in gaming, but the much better GPU makes up for it, and also the motherboard and power supply is better and supports another r9 390x in crossfire for the future...

Hope this helps! :)

I liked your starting point so I tweaked it a tiny bit, keep the good processor but overclock it more with the D-14 you can OC it just as much as you would with liquid cooling without the trouble and the PSU you put down was horrible so take mine :) the GTX 970 will play anything current a 1080PX without a problem :)

Get the sapphire or msi r9 390 instead, it has 8gb as oppose to the gtx 970's 3.5gb VRAM, also since dx12 launched AMD has had improved performance.. this is if you want an unlocked cpu + a good cpu cooler included, if you don't care about overclocking get my first post, it has an r9 390x which is better than the r9 390(no x) and better than the gtx 970, it basically has the same performance as the gtx 980..

Well are you overclocking? If so, better cooling and Unlocked CPU, etc. what resolution are you gaming at? If it is 1080p, I would definitely get a GTX 970. You could even go for 16gb RAM potentially, if you can lower down the price of other things

Just like he said^ but instead for 1080p get the r9 390 (I really have to put it out there lol :) )

You don't NEED 16gb of ram for gaming at ALL, get 8gb 2x4 and if you're not satisfied for some reason you can add more later!

Yeah both can do great things :) . I guess it is up to you whether you want a GTX 970 or R9 390. Depends on whether you aim for VRAM quantities, power consumption, etc,
