Which CPU should I buy?

I want to buy a new CPU for my AMD R9 290 Dual-X, and I don't know if a Intel 6100 or 6300 can bottleneck it. I want i3 because they are about 70 euros cheaper than the cheapest i5 skylake. It is for full HD gaming, mainly for the new Call of Duty Black Ops 3.

You will be fine with an i3. It will be slightly slower than an i5 in gaming, but not enough to say pairing it with an R9 290X is rubbish. That's ridiculous. You'll still get very good performance from the two. About the only situation where it would be noticeable is running dual GPUs (SLI/Crossfire) at higher resolutions.

My GPU is in the middle of the tier 2 and tier 3 recommended combo and skylake i3 processors are also more or less in the middle, why does it bottleneck? Even the 6320 can bottleneck?
