I have the Asus M5a78l m le mobo, will kingston hyperx fury (HX318c10fr/4) be compatible?

The Hyper x Fury 1866 is on that list, so yes, it should work just fine.

I wouldn't recommend mixing the RAM. Even if it did work (50/50 chance) your newer RAM would run at the slower 1333 frequency.
