windows 8 or 7 for gaming?

hey! i dont know wats happening in my pc in gaming. when i was using win. 8 games like crysis 3 ,PES 2016 were running succesfully.but after upgrading to win.8.1 nfs 2012 and battlfield 3 are not loading.they are stuck on thier loading.wat should i do? go back to win 7 or 8? help me plzz..

I've just reinstalled Windows 8.1 after a long while and all my games are working fine.
Besides, in my case at least, whenever I install another OS over some other one, I keep my games installed, I never reinstalled them. I simply make sure I install the latest video driver and all the redist files and directX 10 before I play them. It always works, no fail.

PS: I have a folder I called 'Windows Reinstall Pack' on my c:\ with all these files and all the essential ones ready to install them whenever I move to another OS, no matter which(Win7, 8.1 or 10).
