I am having trouble with my Epson XP 410. I just tried using printer after approx 11 months of no use (just sitting on a desk) and every time i attempt to print the paper feeds right through and I get an error message "out of paper. please load paper" even though the feed is full. I have tried a single sheet and I have tried filling it up to the fill line, same problem everytime. I am using standard 8 1/2 x 11 office paper that I fanned, I have appropriately set the left guard so it is not squeezing the paper too tight. I know its a hardware issue because I get the same result if I attempt to photocopy or do a nozzle check.

as a note I did change the ink cartridges before attempting to use the printer again. any help is appreciated!

Nevermind... Printer is now in about 100 pieces. Going to pickup and HP. Atleast I feel better, and I guess the problem no longer exists. My wife is going to be pissed about the wall... where do I go to ask about fixing a wall?

I'm having the same issue. Printer keeps saying 'paper out' when there's paper in the tray. Very frustrating. I actually think it may be a software issue but clueless as to how to fix this. I've had the printer for under a year and it was cheap, so I don't think I want to go through the whole warranty process. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

I have the exact problem. I found a workaround (not a fix) so that I can still use my printer. The workaround is press the Stop/Reset button to cancel the print job. Then turn off the printer for 10 minutes, then turn it back on. Then print again. Those steps work for me, but the 10 minute wait for every failed instance like this makes a simple print job takes quite a while. I have the Epson WF-2530 model.
