Hello everyone,

I am using an Asus U31S laptop. recently, I had its charging socket replaced in a lab. When the laptop was returned to me, I found out that the computer could not access any wireless networks and that the wireless adapter could not be found when looking for it under Device Manager. I don't know how, but this issue was spontaneously resolved and then everything was okay for two weeks. but now the following issue appeared - Each and every time I move my laptop, the wifi adapter completely disappears and I have no internet connection. It also does not show up at all when looking for it in Device Manager.

However, when I plug in an Ethernet cable, connection resumes and the adapter reappears under device manager if I right-click Network Adapters and choose "Scan for hardware changes". At that point I have wifi again, until I move my laptop and the problem recurs.

This is most probably NOT a router issue because this problem occurs in other places under different wireless networks, and there haven't been any more devices added to our home wireless network.

I also performed a clean install of Windows 10, thinking it could be a driver issue, but it did nothing to fix the problem.

The lab which replaced the charging socket will probably take care of this, but I want to know if there's anything I could do on my own before taking it there again (obviously, something that does not require opening my laptop).

The wireless adapter is Qualcomm Atheros AR9002WB- 1NG Wirless Network Adapter. When I right click it to update for driver software, I am being told that it has the most recent drivers for it.

THANK YOU for reading and trying to help :)
