I migrated win 10 hdd to a samsung ssd. The ssd is working fine but the when i put the original hdd with win 10 back in I get the message "disk is offline because it has a signature collision with another disk drive that is online". I know it is because the operating system is still on the hdd but can I change the the drive signature without losing data? I have looked in computer management and right click the drive the main option is "online". If I click that will it fix the problem or make it worse?

I am running windows 10 on a Dell xps 8700. I have a samsung pro 850 500 gb, samsung evo 840 250 gb and a 1tb hdd (I know this is overkill).

Thanks for your time.

Solution
Since I did not need the hdd to be the OS drive I right clicked the offline drive in computer management and selected online. I have access to the drive and all is well. This may not work for everyone but it did what I wanted. Thanks to all for help.

That would not work because when you right click the old drive everything is greyed out except for help. Change drive letter and path is there but cannot be selected.
