Hey, I was on pc part picker and it when I chose my motherboard as "Gigabyte H81M-S2H Motherboard (Intel H81 Express, DDR3, SATA 600, Micro ATX, USB 3.0, Socket 1150,)" and the cpu as "Intel Core i7 i7-4790K CPU (Quad Core 4GHz, Socket H3 LGA-1150)" it said "Some Intel H81 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Haswell Refresh CPUs."
Will the CPU be compatible with my motherboard ??

Solution

According to the CPU SUPPORT LIST (LINK) the GB GA-H81M-S2H (rev. 1.0) MOBO does support the i7 4790K CPU with BIOS Rev. "F1". However, every CPU on that list shows BIOS ver. F1. This may be because the MOBO listed is "Rev. 1.0". I could not find any info on any other revision #.

Just be sure that your MOBO is Rev...

Just be sure that your MOBO is Rev. 1 and you should be OK.

Hey Thanks, so out of 100% what is the chances of it working if you had to give an estimate ?

IF it is the "Rev. 1.0" mobo, with the "F1" BIOS, I would say that your chances are 100%.

How do I find out if the mobo is Rev. 1.0 and if it is F1 BIOS ?

Both "should" be printed on the box.
