Only change I would do, is to change that PSU.
VS series isn't too reliable PSU for high-end builds.

They are enough for office and basic daily usage. But unreliable for heavy gaming and other demanding workloads and high performance parts.

Also, you can make it slightly cheaper by taking H97 motherboard instead of Z97. You won't need Z97 with 4790 since you can't overclock the cpu anyway.

Yes, Im aware of my PSU being rather bad as Im on a tight budget. Do you think a 550W would be ok for a few months then an upgrade? What PSU do you recommend? Also, Ive chosen a H97 and its knocked a fair bit off, thanks!

Yes, it will work as temporary solution.

For PSU, I would recommend something like XFX XTR 550W or EVGA GS/G2 550W.
If you want some headroom for more powerful gpu or SLI, you can take 650W too.

EDIT: as noted below, you can leave out the thermal paste. The cooler already comes with it's own which is quite good too.

Sadly I only have a choice of CORSAIR PSU's when ordering...Ill likely upgrade my PSU in the future then.

Also on the Mobo front, only offers ASUS & Gigabyte:/

PSU: http://prntscr.com/8tg1gu

Im fine with the ASUS Motherboard as from reviews I've read an heard from friends the Z97-P is a great choice. However i can easily replace the PSU after. Its just these two options (from what i can see) that is restricted. Everything else isn't which is rather odd.
