I built a new computer for gaming and school . II've had it for a couple of weeks with no issue then one day I hear the h50 waterwater cooling working extra hard so I look at the heat from the cpu and it was around 70 degdegrees now it says on start up cpu over heat I do not know what to do might it be the thermal paste failing or a software isissue?

That's strange, the 6600k is very good thermally. Are you using high quality thermal paste, something might be wrong with you cpu. What were you doing when using the cpu.
