Yes i know cheap ass MOBO but im at my absolute limit.
Anyway. i put together a pc on a site, and ordered it but the guys are telling me that the psu is too weak to this combo and that i should get a 750w modular psu .. which cost like double. Are they trying to get more money out from me or what? Will it work? Is there any problems? Or anything?

Solution
Yeah, so i suggest the Antec Vp600P i linked earlier, its got a good amount of power for future upgrades and its a pretty decent power supply. :) Those guys at the shop were trying to rip you off, no need for a modular 750W PSU. :)

Actually its hexa+ not the normal hexa :x , one of my friends has the same psu with i7 4790 and msi gtx 970 gaming 4g gpu while overlocking and it runs fine for him :x But because of the tech guys in the shop now im sceptical. The problem is that: if they dont build it today and send the package i will get it only on monday because okt.23 is a national "no work" day, because of 1956. anyway... i could change the psu later... but i need it for work now...

Oh. Well it's still not all that much different from normal Hexa.
The only differences to normal Hexa are:
- updated casing
- sleeved cables
- more SATA cables

Other than those, it's still the same Hexa.

You should be right- honestly. Its not the best quality, so dont be surprised if it does fail down the track - however if its working right it will provide the power.

I have a 980ti, a 27"1440p montior, 6600k overclocked, plenty of drives, Modem router, telephone and the socket isn't even drawing 400w from the wall at max load. (about 390w 240v)

Yeah , OP. Listen to Celtic. You say you're at your absolute limit for cash, so stay with what youve got and over next few months or so upgrade to what Celtic suggests for peace of mind.

The FSP is an 80% class. 80% of 500 = 400. as i said in my post i dont even draw that on 980ti with monitor and extras included. You do however want a bit of overhead for peace of mind. That 600w he recommends will give you that without breaking the bank.
