Is a Dual 4 Pin Molex To 8 Pin PCI-E OK to use on a GTX 950 with an 8-pin socket.

Might get an EVGA GTX 950 card that's marked down. Only problem is that it takes an 8 pin PCI-e pug instead of the usual 6. But my PSU (Antec VP450 450W) only has one 6-pin pci-e plug. So would a Dual 4 Pin Molex To 8 Pin PCI-E adapter be safe. It's a factory OC'd GTX 950, so it's not a high wattage card.

Solution
Should be fine. The GTX 950 is a mild mannered 90W gfx card at reference. That's only 7.5A on the +12v rail. Nvidia recommends a 350W PSU minimum for the reference model. But since your card is an OC version, it will pull a bit more when maxed out and need a slightly bigger PSU. Your budget model 450W VP450 with its 2 x 18A/360W +12V rails is a marginal, low end PSU, but should be OK if you don't do any CPU or GPU OC'ing on your own. What CPU are you running?

OK. Then I'll stand by my original statements.
