HELP with graphics card

msi z97 gaming 5 mobo
GeForce gtx 970 - dc20c

1tb hard drive and a 120gb ssd

So 2 days ago i decide to put in my hard drive and ssd while i was using my old hard drive the whole computer works fine i then add the ssd and drive and the computer stops working, ive now got to the stage where with my old hard drive (1tb) and the ssd with windows on it and is working but when i plug in my graphics card nothing when its all connected the gtx 970 has a white light on but when you try power the pc on nothing no lights on the motherboard or fans
When i connect my old graphics card amd radeon 6870 pc works fine? it was all working 2 days ago and i change the ssd and hard drive and now the graphics card stops working any help or advice will be much appricated

hmm, Did you install NVIDIA Drivers? Have you tried the graphics card on another PC? Did you mean that, When the GTX 970 is connected onto the motherboard, the whole PC doesn't turn on or only the graphics card? In my opinion If you say that the whole system powers on with the new SSD, HDD and HD 6870 but not with the GTX 970 this could be a dead GTX 970.
