I just finished building my first computer. When I turn it on it powers on alright, but I'm unable to get any display. All the fans are running. The lights on the mobo come on. everything seems to be getting power. I've tried connecting the computer to my tv and a monitor using hdmi through my mobo, and hdmi and vga through the graphics card I have installed. The led light on my mobo says A0 which according to my mobo manual means "IDE initialization is started". I've tried booting with just one stick of ram and that didn't help. I've verified that all my power cables are plugged in correctly. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do here.

Here are my parts:

Have you removed the card and used the HDMI port to connect it then? Some boards will also need you to change which gfx card will be used in a bios setting.

My motherboard doesn't have a vga port. It has hdmi, usb, a display port, and that's pretty much it. The only vga port I have is on my graphics card
