High Gpu temps?

Hi my uncle just gave me his old graphics card, a ati radeon hd4850 1gb and temps on it goes to 80-90c in games even with 80% fan speed when idle its 43c and 50% fan speed, i don't know much about this card so wanted to know if the temps on it are safe.

Below 90°C for a 4850 is fine, they always ran quite hot even back in 2008. If youre going into the low 90s, then thats fine too as long as its not for prolonged amounts of time.

My 980ti regularly hits 84.
