Hello community,
I'm pretty sure I am able to do this, but I want to double check before trying. I have 2 SSDs. One is currently plugged into SATA0 in my desktop, running Windows 7, and is my everyday OS. I want to use the other one as a computer lab SSD to try different OS's, but I only have one desktop. What I was thinking about doing was plugging in the computer lab SSD into SATA1 of the desktop and then if I ever wanted to boot into this, I could just switch the boot preference in the BIOS. Could this work, or would having 2 SSDs with different boot OS cause havoc on the desktop? Thanks for your feedback!

that works fine but you dont even have to enter the bios, just press the F-key that corresponds to 'Select Boot Device' during POST (same time that it says press X to enter the bios) and then select the other boot drive.
