Hi all,

I recently swapped my old 500gb hard drive for a new SSD + 3tb HDD setup, and I'm trying to move all the steam saves from my old drive onto the new HDD, but I'm having trouble getting my head around it. I know the majority of steam saves are saved in my documents, but since the new HDD doesn't have a my documents folder, can I just make a new folder there and move the saves over, or do they have to go in the my documents folder on the SSD? And is there a way to ensure that steam saves future games to the HDD and not somewhere in the SSD?

I've already moved all the games themselves over, only the saves are left to move. I've surfed this a bit but just can't get my head around it, I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks a bunch!

And yes, if you do it manually and if the game doesn't create a SAVE game folder as before own you might create the exact same folder with the exact same path and try putting the save game files there. Although it might be a better option for you to run the game, save at some point (this way the game will create the folder for you) and them move the files to the already created...

Hope that helps.
