I'm confused when it comes to motherboards, I haven't been able to find all the information I'd like when looking this up. So, how do I know which one to get? I don't want to miss out on any features, but I don't want to be paying for anything I don't need. Can someone please tell me what all the features on certain motherboards are, and how to look for my specific needs?

OK - Getting a K model CPU like the 6600K would indicate you may want to OC the CPU, (if not now then down the road) - to do so you will want the Z170 line of mobos to look at, the H170 and B170 don't support CPU OCing via the multiplier and are limited as to the data rates of DRAM they can run. The Z170 chipset supports OCing, using multiple GPUs, much higher DRAM data rates and will generally have other perks like extra USB and SATA port and more. The following link will lead to a large variety of the various Z170 mobos available.

I'd suggest (depending on price) looking at the Asus Z170-a, their Pro Gaming or the Hero (I went with the Hero with my 6600K). While there's a variety of brands I'd stick with the big 3 - Asus, ASRock or GigByte.

Ok thank you. I was thinking about overclocking down the road when i upgrade to crossfire 390 or at least that's the idea right now. What is the difference between the asus pro gaming and the regular. The pro gaming is only 10 dollars more. Also is there anything else I should know or any other features that would make something like the hero cost more?
